On September 8 within the framework of a business trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, a delegation of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) operating under the State Tourism Agency, held meetings with relevant Vietnamese tourism institutions.

As part of the visit an event was organized by ATB and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in cooperation with the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, to present Azerbaijan’s tourism potential and opportunities.

The event, attended by ATB Chairman Florian Sengstschmid and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Shovgi Mehdizadeh, also featured discussions on experience exchange in the tourism sector and prospects for bilateral cooperation.

Representatives of diplomatic missions in Vietnam, members of the tourism industry, travel agencies, and students participated in the event.

Meetings were also held with the leadership of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and “VietJet Air” airline to explore prospects for tourism cooperation during the visit 

It should be noted that from September 4–6 the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, together with its partners, showcased the country’s tourism opportunities at the 19th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC).
